Driver Pay & Benefits
Mileage Pay
Drivers are paid Premier Practical Route Miles while under dispatch (loaded and empty).
- Starting Rate: $0.55–$0.58 per mile for OTR drivers
- Includes $0.10 per mile in per diem pay (non-taxable income)
- Annual Raises: Determined by driver performance and adherence to company policies
Additional Pay
Detention, layover, and other compensation are paid according to customer contracts and company policy.

Health Insurance
Employee premiums are based on current-year plan pricing.
Life Insurance
- $15,000 coverage provided for all full-time employees
- Premium paid 100% by the company
- Additional coverage available at insurance-governed rates
Dental Insurance
Employee premiums based on current-year plan pricing.
Vision Insurance
Provided at no cost to the employee.
Paid Time Off
Vacation Pay
- 1 week after 1st year anniversary
- 2 weeks after 2nd year anniversary
Vacation pay is based on average miles driven over the previous 52 weeks.
Disability Coverage
Short-Term Disability
- Weekly premium based on insurance provider rates
- Pays 60% of weekly earnings prior to disability, up to $500/week
- Benefit is taxable income

401(k) with Safe Harbor Match
Climate Express provides a safe harbor matching contribution:
- 100% match on salary deferrals up to 3% of compensation
- 50% match on deferrals between 3% and 5%
- All safe harbor matching contributions are 100% vested
